NEURC approved the electricity transmission tariff for Ukrenergo and the electricity distribution tariff for Distribution System Operators for 2025
At its meeting on December 19, 2024, NEURC adopted a decision to approve new electricity transmission and distribution tariffs for 2025.
Electricity transmission tariff
NEURC increased the electricity transmission tariff by almost 30% - to 686.23 UAH/MWh. The relevant decision was made at the meeting on December 19, 2024.
The tariff for electricity transmission services for "green" metallurgy enterprises for 2025 will be 359.55 UAH/MWh.
As stated in the justification, when determining the item "Expenses for special obligations to ensure an increase in the share of electricity production from alternative sources other than private households," the updated projected volume of electricity release by "green" producers under the feed-in premium mechanism was taken into account.
According to NPC Ukrenergo estimates, the share of the transmission tariff in the structure of the final cost of electricity for non-household consumers will be up to 10%.
Electricity distribution tariff.
The increase in tariffs is due to the need to ensure the stability of Ukraine's energy system in conditions of rising costs for network maintenance and capital investments. Despite the tariff increase, NEURC emphasizes the transparency of price formation and the preservation of the energy market's competitiveness.
- The tariff for the 1st voltage class increased on average by 12.7% compared to 2024.
- The tariff for the 2nd voltage class increased on average by 13.5% compared to 2024.
